I’d like to see some more 80’s hard rock back in the music games. After GH3 we started getting lots of new songs. These are fine, but
I’d really love some hard rock e.g Cinderella, Ratt, that sort of stuff, especially Skid Row. What happened after 18 & Life on GH1? Nothing. Makin’ a Mess, Here I Am or Midnight would be awesome to rock out to.

There shoud be more MORE The Mars Volta oh and talkin’ about them I really didn’t like that they edited “L’via L’viaquez” in World Tour, it was stupid, ok it’s a long song and they fixed it was ok, what I mean is that they took out a line that says “L’via, te quieren matar, dientes de machete, cabezas de gallo”. Hehe, well I would also definitely like more Die Toten Hosen (Strom), and if possible, what about some RAMMSTEIN (At least Links 2-3-4 or Feuer Frei!)? ^_^ HEHE Well in my opinion they should add a bit more of German/Italian/Spanish bands. I think most of you don’t understand the concept behind “Band Hero”. You’re not going to see Slipknot, Nirvana, My Chemical Romance, etc. Did none of you see the announced songs so far? Jackson 5, Taylor Swift - it’s going to be family friendly, mostly pop-rock bands. Why would they name it “Band Hero” if they were just going to populate the disc with bands that would normally appear on Guitar Hero? The poster who said this is “Hero”’s andwer to Lego ROck Band is correct.

Rofl it was so funny reading all the comments. About every 5 commenter pointed out, that Band Hero will be a kid friendly game, which means no hard rock or metal, yet the other commenters still post their wishing list comprising 95% of music that for sure won’t be on the game, because it obviously doesn’t fit the style of the game. I agree with Jake.
I am hoping that this is called Band Hero to finally come away from all the Rock, Metal, Goth e.t.c.
If you are correct in talking about changing genre for this game, then lets have some music which does not include the usual Guitar Hero stuff.
And also, there is a big world out there, so we dont all want american tracks that the rest of the world has never heard of.
Some Classics would be great:
Some Earth Wind & Fire, Micheal Jackson (if you’re allowed), The Fray, The Script, Black Eyed Pease, Akon, Neo, Lionel Richie, Run DMC, David Guetta, Elvis Presly (Guitar man would go down a treat)…… I could go own.
Please NO Metal or Heavy Rock. If people want to play that stuff, That’s what Guitar Hero World Tour is for.
Lots of classics and current chart music is what we want.

Here’s an educated guess at the final list. It’s basicall just the confirmed songs and artists combined with the German song list that’s been posted, though it was too long so I cut some lesser known artists from the German version. As for confirmed artists without songs that weren’t on the German version, I just took a wild guess on (though suggestions on here had a lot to do with it). That’s really the only guess work other than which to take off. Alrighty,

If you guys looked up any information for the game, it’s all preppy, “normal” person jizz. Nothing rockish at all.

I’m all for A7X and Disturbed, maybe some more screamo, but GH is becoming more band orientated. They won’t choose too crazy guitar songs unless they have decent bass, or drums, and vocals.

They also HARDLY EVER choose bands with altered voices. We’ll hardly see A7X or MCR for that.

This game’s set list looks decent for the people who like it. I have a massive music taste, so I would probably buy this game, my little sister would adore it. Plus, a new drum set.

Anyway, if some of the mentioned groups are in the game, I’m deff. buying this. Bout’ god damn time Evanescence was in one of these. ^_^

I like the concept of Band Hero, even though its GH’s response to Lego Rockband. They are trying to attract the younger kids who don’t listen to the music that is in the usual Guitar Hero tracklist. I actually like the majority of the released songs and am eagerly awaiting the further release cuz i love most of the artists listed below. I’ve always been leaning towards the softer side of rock and country music so I can’t wait for Band Hero ^^

This is going to be the ****** and by far easiest and boring Guitar Hero game ever made. I mean the whole song list is sh*t, i dont even like one of the songs at all. Someone should kick the Guitar Hero creators in the balls and tell them to make games like GH1,2&3 and GH Metallica, they were awesome games. I can’t see why anyone would waste their money on this piece of sh*t game.

This is all a POP game not rock, really, they have Aly and AJ, Hilary Duff and Jesse McCartney… Jonas Brothers are the perfect fit, they have a very cool guitar solo in ”Much Better” and great drums skills.
By the way Demi Lovato’s La La Land is pretty cool, they have a sick drum solo and guitar solo at the same time.

I would reccomend a Blink-182, smashing pumpkins, or green day’s greatest hits in one game with some special guests. If all this fails, i would reccomend something more Modern Like Avenged Sevenfold, More Attack! Attack! and other Emo and Heavy bands. Im sure that Putting In A DJ hero will be a big mistake

I’m not very happy with much of the artist is this game. Sure, they have my favorite band in there: Evanescence, I love that they have Bring me To life and Call Me When you’re sober, but Taylor Swift has 3 songs in there.! I’d like to see a lot more variety of Rock, sure i maybe only saying the bands that i like but, i am actually suprised that they didnt have Paramore in there, or Even three days grace.

I want blah blah blah slash blah metal blah, and if this game doesn’t have it then it sucks…. go buy GH Metallica or GH5 and leave BH alone

This is a game aimed at people that don’t want to listen to metal etc but are more into mainstream music. I’m not a teeny bopper at 38, I’ve been to see Metallica live, but I’ve also got a yearning to play some other genres of music with my GH kit.

So congratulations to the Guitar Hero franchise for publishing Band Hero and looking forward to some downloadable content for it, some Indie would be nice, James, Travis, Pulp, Stereophonics etc, even better “Indie Hero”

I see a lot of pop, emo, and alternative in this new game, but where’s the ROCK? Thank you everyone for listing some real rock songs they’d like to see (usally stuff anyone under the age of 18 hasn’t heard of or wasn’t born when it came out). Seriously though this list is crap you hear on the teen pop stations with the exception of Marvin Gaye and the Jackson Five. Not sure how they pulled that off but good job.

Hey Goofs…..they’re called “pop” songs for a reason. Cuz they’re popular. If they put a bunch of popular songs on the disc, then chances are that more people will buy it. If more people buy it, they (Activision) make nore money and that is, after all, what their objective was in the first place. The type of music many of you expect is not “mainstream” so don’t expect “Corporate America” to satisfy your wishes.(Unless you want to pay triple the price for your off-beat tastes) Anchovies are good on pizza too, but you probably won’t find any in the pizza section at your local food store. Nuf said.
